Alpha Quadflapper

This flappers aims to utilize flapping power in a quadcopter configuration. It's ultimate goal is to compare it's performance with propeller powered quadcopters to observe the advantages of flapping wings. Currently the team is focused on designing it to be robust as if released to the consumer market.

2026-2027 Goals:

Finish optimizing weight to achieve flight
Flight tests with in-house wings
Flight tests with custom flight controller (built by FC team)
Test new battery that has more power but weighs the same

More About Alpha Quadflapper

Alpha Quadflapper is the only quadflapper that is similar to that of the pre-COVID flappers! It's FWMAV's most optimize flapper in terms of weight, power, etc., and is the main focus of our Flight Controller subteam at the moment.
